Our information service seeks to provide useful, relevant, up-to-date information which can assist you no matter which area of the sector you’re in.

We have a friendly team of Information Officers across Scotland, who are able to respond to your information requests should you call our helpline and if they can’t help you, they’ll certainly sign-post you to someone who can.

SCVO Member Organisations with an annual turnover of less than £500,000 can also access up to 2 hours of free legal advice from one of the three legal firms we are currently working with, Lindsays, Harper Macleod and MacRoberts. Please read our further guidance on how to access this members only service.

We work in conjunction with 56 Councils for Voluntary Service (CVS) organisations as well as intermediary organisations across Scotland which in addition to our own staff, have expert knowledge in specific areas.

Our Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness offices have a variety of publications, journals and daily papers that you can refer to, and an appointment can be made should you like to look at these.
