This section of the site features information held in the form of the Scottish Voluntary Sector Almanac, which aims to provide a single reference point of analysis of general trends within the Scottish voluntary sector, and some of the underlying drivers of change. It serves as a first point of access to statistical and qualitative data and analysis. Key areas covered include snapshots lof key statistics; assessing the contribution and impact of the sector; areas of growth for the social economy; the economic sustainability of the sector and issues of equality and diversity.

There is a section on the methodology used to calculate the facts and figures, with a briefing on the definition of voluntary organisations and a glossary of key terms used in the sector. And finally a bibliography section for further sources of research information.
