The Scottish Government has issued its response to the consultation on secondary legislation for the PVG vetting and barring scheme. Some of the issues of concern to the voluntary sector have been favorably addressed. However, our main concerns about the costs of the scheme remain unanswered.

A wide cross-section of Scottish voluntary organisations active at a European level came together in August 2008 to try to ‘work smarter’ through more effectively influencing policy issues and identifying and learning about best practice in their respective fields across Europe.
